Every Little Boy Needs One

On Saturday we celebrated Christmas with my brother-in-law, his wife and kiddos...
A big pot of chili and board games...
Definitely my kind of day...
But I must say the highlight was watching Aidan Kale's slow grin as he opened his gift...

And started playing his tar with his very patient cousin Kaidon...

Little's First Hair-Trim

Sunday I attempted to style Kam's hair using gel and water...
Within an hour it looked like this...

So even though it broke my heart...
I did what was best for this blue-eyed little boy...
I let Nama trim his hair...

He seems to like it...
And I have to admit...
I do too...

Happy Birthday Dear Mom/Nama...

Happy Birthday to you...

Happy Birthday to you...

Happy Birthday dear Mom/Nama...

Happy Birthday to you...

And MANY more...
To a woman who has made and continues to make sacrifices...
Who is loyal...
Who loves without apologizing...
May we celebrate you today...
And always...

Holi-Day Twenty-Five

Finally...
After waiting and waiting...

Preparations were made...

The Christmas story was read...

And Ho Ho made his long awaited visit...

Holi-Day Twenty-Four

Delivering candy to the neighbors...

Merry Christmas...

Holi-day Twenty-Three

It is surreal how at times if I just stop and look at my children...
I am overwhelmed with such amazing love...
I am pulled to them as if they are still physically attached...
And even if I do NOTHING else in this world...
My children are my one contribution...
A gift to those they encounter...

Nothing they do will ever destroy the love I have for them...
I would move heaven and earth to protect them...

I am so grateful I was chosen to be their Mommy...

Holi-Day Twenty-Two

Train whistles...
4:30 am...
Am I dreaming...
I awaken just enough to realize no I am not...
The toy room light is on...
There are those whistles again...
I swing my legs off the bed...
Balance...
And walk towards the noise...
As I turn the corner of the living room...
I see...

Holi-Day Twenty-One

We had our first of several family gatherings...
And as always I walked away with many priceless gifts...
This precious little girl right here...

Is going to be a big sister...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
KKS and I shared our children with family and friends that are near and dear to us...
Can you see the man behind Aidan Kale...
John always wears a smile...
And this is John's wife, Sue...
They are adopted family and we love them...
You can see Sue's arm in the photo below steadying Kam...
As he tags along after his brother...
Whose smile brightens a room...
And soft little voice filled the car as we drove home...
Singing with the radio version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town...
I can not think of one tangible gift that could ever be better than these...
